But then, whether we like it or not, TV commercials contribute to consumerism. it means that people who see them intend to buy anything they see; though, they don't really need it.

Then, since they are presented in visual ways, people will see what the products or services look like.Besides, models express how delighted they are with the products or services. So change your TV channels every time there are commercials breaks. Or you can read a newspaper or magazine when TV stations broadcast them.
